Who We Are
JenniNexus (jenninexus.com) is a personal portfolio and game developer site operated by Jenni. Questions or requests: [email protected].
Information We Collect
JenniNexus uses Google Analytics 4 (property 280909516) to collect anonymous usage statistics including pages visited, time on site, device type, and general geographic region. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics. We do not sell your data.
Cookies & Local Storage
This site uses cookies for:
- Theme preference — remembers your light/dark mode choice (localStorage, not sent to server)
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 cookies for anonymous usage tracking
- Advertising — Google AdSense cookies if advertising is active on a page
- Patreon VIP — session token if you connect your Patreon account
See our full Cookie Policy for a detailed breakdown of every cookie set.
Advertising
JenniNexus may display advertisements served by Google AdSense (pub-5765773766588341 or successor publisher ID). Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ad Settings or aboutads.info.
We use Google's certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. You will be presented with a consent banner with three choices: Consent, Do not consent, and Manage options. Analytics and advertising cookies are only used with your consent where required by law.
Third-Party Services
This site embeds content from the following services. These may set their own cookies when you interact with embedded content:
- YouTube — video embeds
- Spotify / SoundCloud — music player embeds
- Patreon — OAuth authentication for VIP content
Please refer to each service's privacy policy for details on how they handle your data.
Patreon Integration
If you connect your Patreon account to access VIP content, we store your Patreon user ID and tier level to verify membership. We do not store your Patreon password or payment information. You can revoke access at any time from your Patreon connected apps settings.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold. Since we only store Patreon session tokens (and not any other personal data), requests are handled by contacting us directly. For analytics data, use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
- Request deletion of personal information we hold about you
- Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (as those terms are broadly defined under the CCPA/CPRA to include certain advertising cookies)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
To exercise the Do Not Sell or Share My Info right, use the Reject Non-Essential option in our cookie banner or click here. Enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal — we automatically detect and honor it as an opt-out request without requiring any further action from you.
We will not discriminate against you (e.g. by denying access to site content or features) for exercising any CCPA/CPRA right.
To exercise these rights or ask a question, contact us at [email protected].
Children's Privacy
JenniNexus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Data Retention
GA4 analytics data is retained for 14 months (Google's default). Patreon VIP session tokens are held until you disconnect your Patreon account or the session expires. We do not retain data longer than necessary for the purposes described in this policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
