I wanted an editor theme pack that felt like the rest of my Syna stack — neon glass, readable at 2am, and actually usable for real TypeScript work. So I shipped Syn Themes: six cyberpunk glass color themes for VS Code and Cursor, under one extension ID.
Why I built Syn Themes
Most “cyberpunk” themes look great in a screenshot and fall apart the second you open a dense file. Comments vanish. Line numbers blur. Terminal ANSI colors fight the UI chrome. I needed themes that still pass WCAG AA on editor text, comments, and line numbers — neon without the migraine.
Syn Themes is the landing page for that pack: install once, pick a Synagraphic:* theme, keep coding.
What makes it different
- Six shipped themes, not a single palette with a marketing GIF: Void Circuit, Neon Decay, Ghost Protocol, Plasma Drift, Acid Rain, and Martian.
- Dual registry publish — same ID on VS Code Marketplace and Open VSX (what Cursor’s Extensions UI pulls from).
- Semantic highlighting for modern stacks (TypeScript, React, Python, Go, Rust, and more).
- Terminal ANSI colors tuned per theme, so the integrated terminal matches the editor mood.
- Optional neon glow via
glow.cssif you use Custom CSS and JS Loader.
The quotable bit: six WCAG-AA cyberpunk glass themes, one extension ID, two stores.
How it works
- Install
jenninexus.synagraphic-themes- VS Code: Extensions → search Syn Themes, or
ext install jenninexus.synagraphic-themes - Cursor: Extensions → search Syn Themes (Open VSX), same ID
- VS Code: Extensions → search Syn Themes, or
- Command Palette → Preferences: Color Theme → pick any Synagraphic:* theme
- Optional: grab
extras/glow.cssfrom the repo if you want the glass neon edge
Current version: 3.1.4. Source + screenshots live in the public repo.
Who it’s for
- Cursor / VS Code users who want dark neon without sacrificing contrast
- People building AI / game / creative tools who want the editor to match a glassmorphism UI language
- Anyone who wants one install that works in both Microsoft Marketplace and Open VSX / Cursor
